Hospitality First
Hosts are hired for warmth before card skills. Every guest should feel invited into the game, not tested by it — that culture is trained, rehearsed and reviewed after every event.
A Wellington event production company with one specialty, done properly: casino-themed evenings where the entertainment is real and the money never is.
Casino Moments began in 2019 with a single blackjack table, a borrowed van and a simple observation: the best parties give guests something to do together. Our founders — one from hospitality, one from theatre production — hosted their first evening for a friend's 40th birthday in Newtown, and the bookings never stopped.
Seven years on, we run a fleet of 26 tables, a trained host team, and a production workshop in Te Aro where branded chips and table details are prepared for every event. We have produced 342 evenings across the Wellington region, from twelve-seat dinners to a 240-guest gala.
What has never changed is the principle we started with: our tables are entertainment, full stop. Symbolic chips, points scoring, and hosts whose only job is to make sure everyone — first-timer or regular — has a wonderful night.
Hosts are hired for warmth before card skills. Every guest should feel invited into the game, not tested by it — that culture is trained, rehearsed and reviewed after every event.
No real money, no exceptions. Symbolic chips and points scoring are written into every contract and briefed to every host. It keeps the night light — and keeps everyone comfortable.
Theatre roots show in how we run events: one producer, one run sheet, timings to the minute. Clients approve a plan and then get to enjoy their own party.
A core team of eight, joined by our trained event host pool of up to fourteen on larger productions.
